This position includes the complete servicing of Commercial Lines accounts during and after initial sale; sales of new and existing accounts. This position requires accurate and courteous service to our fellow employees, clients, producers and company personnel. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as frontline manager of client needs, managing the day to day servicing of commercial accounts
- Work with Commercial Producers to manage both new and renewal policy servicing
- Rating and quoting new and renewal business
- Prepare marketing files containing all applications, loss runs, MVRs, and other documents required to underwrite risks
- Preparing proposals for new and renewal clients
- Reviewing (and processing) all applications, renewal requests, policies, endorsements and audits for accuracy
- Binding coverage and confirming with client
- Collaborate with commercial lines team in cross selling and account rounding
- Assisting colleague Commercial Lines Account Managers as needed, including working with clients and Producers on colleague Account Manager accounts
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
- Strong organizational skills; ability to discern priority and initiative.
- Knowledge of standard commercial lines carriers’ systems is a huge plus (Liberty Mutual, Travelers, State Fund, Mercury, Hanover, Hartford, etc.)
- Excellent product knowledge for a lines of business
- Excellent Computer skills, specifically AMS 360, CRMs, Microsoft Office Suite (experience with Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam, MS Publisher and/or InDesign preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, premiums, commissions, proportions and percentages.
- Ability to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instructions and deal with a variety of variables furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Education and/or Experience:
- Account Manager must be fully licensed as a Property & Casualty Broker/Agent
- Five (5) years or more of insurance industry work experience, but no less than three (3) years of specific experience with agent side commercial lines
- Previous roles as a CSR, Account Manager, and/or Sales Support preferred
- Associate's degree (A.A.), or greater (B.A., etc.) from two-year college or technical school preferred
- Account Manager should have thorough understanding of insurance industry, Commercial Lines underwriting, products and coverage.
